Triple J: The J Award 2005

2005 is Triple J's 30th anniversary year and to celebrate 30 years on air, they introduce a new annual music prize called the The J Award.

The J Award is one music category and one winner for the Australian album of the year. It will be judged by a panel of music industry-lites including Triple J's own Richard Kingsmill. Nominees are selected and annouced on a monthly basis. More info about the eligiblity, nominations, nominees and their mp3s, here.

So far, Lior's Autumn Flow (announced in February) and Downsyde's When the Dust Settles (announced in March) are nominated.

The award will be presented at a ceremony in the first week of December, right after November's Ausmusic Month.

I like this website/blog. It's good, shame it's only for Adelaide though.

Thanks dude.

Its Adelaide and Cardiff-centric but will try to put mor general Australian stuff when I can.

Its really just an easier way for me and my cousin (in Cardiff) to sort of "swap music" with each other. :)
