+Yes, they are clashing. And yes, I really want to go to both!

That's quite an impressive gig guide you've got going there. Have you tried/looked at the Adelaide site for upcoming.org ? Currently we seem to be the only ones posting.

There's nothing there at all, unfortunately.
Its not a complete gig guide as of such, but gigs I think people should check out, esp. people wanting to get into the live music scene here in Adelaide.
Rip It Up and dB are good gig guides but they don't put the prices or the sort of type of music on their list AND they've been having a few misprints lately, which annoys the hell out of me.
Fortunately, I just chase the prices down using bigstar, venutix or bass or just checking out gig venue websites, or call them up. The genre are sort of rough but I thought it might help from what I hear of the bands listed.
Thanks for visiting, though :D

wow noranna! what a great blog and thankyou so much for letting me know that ted leo is coming!
i almost squealed out loud.
luckily the guys at work know that i'm odd, so they wouldn't have been too freaked.
also, i've got a preview copy of the bad girls 7" and it is beautiful.

Thanks Pippa! Yeah, I've heard the Bad Girls 7" and its sounds good! I've got one of their old demos and I'm expecting big things from them. Are you going to their launch next week? I might go if nothing too crazy is preventing me in the lovely easter weekend.
Ted Leo, YES! Enigma. $15 at door. With my favourite Australian band (Blueline Medic). Be there! :D

Hey Noranna, this is amazing! I've bookmarked it already!
I play in a band called Hunting Season, who played with Love Outside Andromeda on the weekend. They, of course, were amazing. I just thought I'd let you know 2 things...
1. We changed our name. We're now known as the Sunset Club. If I see you at a gig, I'll buy you a beer and explain the meaning. It IS a Buffy reference, which is always a good thing. We don't have a new website at the moment, only the Hunting Season one.
2. The Dan Brodie gig on the 20th of April is with us and Bad Girls of the Bible. Should be fun. Playing at the Gov rocks.
Thanks again for having such a great Adelaide gig guide! Have you noticed how many people are coming out to gigs now, AND early? we had about 200 people there when we played on Saturday. God Bless our town!
