Music Recommendations Week 20/05/05
I know this is so very late and I apologize but as you know, its been a crazy past 2 weeks but everything should be paced back to usual, now. Here are this week's (carried over until end of next week) recommendations:

Great Lake Swimmers - Bodies And Minds
I love this Canadian folk rock band. Bodies and Minds is such a beautiful album, reminds me of Nick Drake, maybe Sufjan Stevens and a hint of fellow Canadian Hayden. Definitely one of my favourite records of the year.

Download Track #5:

Kevin Devine - Split The Country, Split The Street
Reminds me of early Bright Eyes but with much better vocals, and even shades of onelinedrawing on this record. A little bit country, a little bit emo, a little bit pop rock, but somehow the mix works and I really love this.

Download Track #3: No Time Flat (5MB) via InSound.

Stephen Malkmus - Face The Truth
The former Pavement frontman's new solo effort. I'm one of those people who would love anything Malkmus does. Can't. stop. loving. this.

Download Track #10: Baby C'Mon (3.2MB) via InSound.
Featured "past" music recommendation:

The Dirty Three - Whatever You Love, You Are [2000]
Just a violin, a guitar and drums. No vocals but amazing instrumental tracks from one of the most underrated Australian bands. Melbourne's The Dirty Three got a new record (yet untitled) coming out this August/September but in the meantime, set your minds back to one of my favourite releases from them and one of the best tracks for download.

Download Track #2: I Really Should've Gone Out Last Night (3.8MB) via Epitonic.
